California Special C8 Corvette Stingray
This C8 Corvette Stingray hardtop convertible received a complete custom body and aero treatment developed around its mid-engine architecture. Carbon fiber components, a V8-under-glass engine display, center-exit quad exhaust and handcrafted interior create a Corvette with a distinctly exotic character.
01 / EXTERIOR DESIGN
A More Unified Mid-Engine Profile.
Carbon Flash Metallic was applied to the retractable roof and continued through the engine bay and rear decklid. Connecting these areas visually creates a sleeker upper profile and gives the Corvette’s mid-engine layout a more cohesive appearance.
02 / V8 UNDER GLASS
The Engine Becomes Part of the Design.
A custom tempered-glass engine window allows the Corvette’s V8 to remain visible with the rear hatch closed. Custom LED engine-bay lighting adds drama after dark, while a body-color intake cover creates a strong visual centerpiece above the engine.
03 / WHEELS & TIRES
Performance with a Custom Finish.
Brixton Forged wheels were paired with high-performance Michelin tires. A single spoke on each wheel was painted in the Corvette’s body color, providing a precise accent that connects the wheel package to the rest of the build.
04 / FRONT AERO
Managing Air from the First Contact.
A carbon-fiber front splitter incorporates aerodynamic winglets designed to guide air around the vehicle. Dual air vanes mounted to the front hood, or frunk lid, help manage airflow as it moves toward the windshield and across the roof.
05 / SIDE AERO
An Accentuated C-Scoop Design.
Matching carbon-fiber rocker panels continue the aero treatment along the sides of the Corvette. Integrated winglets and an extended aero blade flow into the doors, creating a more dramatic interpretation of the C8’s signature C-shaped side intake.
The intake opening was enlarged to support improved airflow while giving the side profile a more aggressive and distinctive appearance.
06 / REAR AERO & EXHAUST
A Modern Return to the Corvette Quad Tip.
The rear was redesigned around a custom carbon-fiber diffuser and center-exit exhaust. The exhaust system was fabricated to give the C8 the signature quad-tip appearance traditionally associated with Corvette.
Custom 3D-printed grille mesh surrounds the exhaust outlets, supporting heat management and airflow while giving the rear assembly a finished, integrated appearance.
A custom carbon-fiber gurney-flap spoiler completes the rear aero package and is designed to improve airflow management and rear stability at speed.
07 / INTERIOR
Handcrafted for the Driver.
The interior features handcrafted leather seating with Alcantara inserts. The material combination elevates the cabin while providing additional grip to help keep the driver securely positioned during acceleration and through high-speed corners.
