Sound & Airflow

C8 Corvette Exhaust Systems

An exhaust system can change the sound, character and appearance of
a C8 Corvette. The correct system depends on the model, factory
exhaust configuration, desired volume and how the vehicle will be
used.

Available exhaust services may include:

  • Cat-back exhaust installation
  • Axle-back exhaust installation
  • Valved exhaust systems
  • Exhaust-tip and appearance upgrades
  • Header installation for supported applications
  • Exhaust fitment and alignment correction
  • Heat-management components
  • Supporting calibration when required

We help select a system based on tone, volume, valve compatibility,
cabin behavior, performance goals and applicable emissions
requirements.

SSV Texas performs compliant performance work and does not remove,
defeat or disable required emissions equipment or emissions-related
monitoring systems.

Calibration

C8 Corvette Performance Tuning

Calibration support depends on the C8 model, model year, control
modules, current modifications and available tuning platform.

C8 performance tuning starts at $600.

Supported tuning may address:

  • Engine calibration
  • Throttle response
  • Fuel and ignition strategy
  • Airflow-related modifications
  • Exhaust and intake combinations
  • Forced-induction combinations when supported
  • Transmission-related calibration when available
  • Drivability refinement

Modern C8 control modules may require additional access, unlocking,
licensing or specialized hardware before calibration can be
installed.

The $600 starting price covers calibration services for supported
applications. Required controller access, unlocking, tuning
hardware, credits, licensing, remote-calibration fees, diagnostics
and mechanical repairs are additional.

Performance Components

Intake and Supporting Upgrades

Performance components should be selected as a compatible package.
Product claims alone do not establish whether a component is
appropriate for a particular C8 model or combination.

Available upgrades may include:

  • Supported air-intake systems
  • Airflow and induction components
  • Throttle-body upgrades when supported
  • Oil-separation and crankcase-ventilation components
  • Cooling-system upgrades
  • Heat-management components
  • Fuel-system components for supported builds
  • Required calibration and supporting hardware

Component compatibility, calibration requirements and warranty
implications are reviewed before installation.

Higher-Output Builds

C8 Forced-Induction Planning

Supercharged and turbocharged C8 projects require more than the
installation of a compressor system. Fuel delivery, cooling,
controller access, calibration, transmission capacity and intended
use must be considered together.

A forced-induction project may require:

  • Application-specific supercharger or turbocharger system
  • Fuel-system upgrades
  • Intercooler and cooling-system upgrades
  • Oil and transmission cooling
  • Exhaust and heat-management components
  • Controller access and calibration
  • Engine and transmission evaluation
  • Driveline and traction planning
  • Brake and tire upgrades

Forced-induction C8 builds are evaluated individually. Support
depends on the exact model, system, components and available
calibration solution.

Stance & Handling

C8 Suspension and Lowering

A properly selected suspension package can improve stance and
handling while preserving the vehicle’s geometry, clearance and
electronic-system compatibility.

Suspension services may include:

  • Lowering systems
  • Adjustable suspension components
  • Coilover systems for supported applications
  • Sway bars and handling components
  • Ride-height adjustment
  • Clearance and suspension-travel review
  • Wheel and tire fitment planning
  • Alignment coordination

Factory lift systems, adaptive suspension, aero clearance and
intended road use must be considered before ride height is changed.

Fitment & Traction

C8 Wheels and Tires

Wheel and tire selection affects appearance, traction, steering,
brake clearance and electronic-system operation.

Fitment planning may include:

  • Street-performance wheel packages
  • Track-oriented wheel and tire combinations
  • Forged wheel packages
  • Wheel diameter and width selection
  • Offset and body-clearance verification
  • Brake-caliper clearance
  • Tire diameter and electronic-system compatibility
  • Lowered-vehicle clearance

Our focus is a properly integrated fitment—not simply installing
the widest wheel or tire that can be placed under the vehicle.

Stopping & Control

C8 Brake Upgrades

Brake components should be selected according to the vehicle,
wheel package, power level and intended street or track use.

Brake services may include:

  • Performance brake pads
  • Brake rotor upgrades
  • Brake-fluid service
  • Stainless brake lines when appropriate
  • Complete brake packages for supported applications
  • Brake-cooling components
  • Wheel and caliper clearance verification

Track use, repeated high-speed braking and street driving can
require different pad, rotor and fluid combinations.

Exterior Design

C8 Aero and Body Components

C8 aero components should complement the vehicle’s body lines and
fit as a coordinated package. Aftermarket components may require
adjustment and preparation before installation.

Aero and body services may include:

  • Front splitters and air dams
  • Side skirts and rocker extensions
  • Rear diffusers
  • Spoilers and rear wings
  • Hoods and vented panels
  • Fender and quarter-panel components
  • Engine-cover and exterior trim components
  • Carbon-fiber component installation
  • Complete aero packages

Components are reviewed for construction, completeness, mounting
requirements and intended fitment before final installation.

Aftermarket fiberglass, urethane, carbon-fiber and composite
components may require fitting, repair, blocking, reinforcement or
additional surface preparation. These requirements may not be fully
visible until the component is test-fitted.

Paint & Appearance

C8 Paint and Exterior Customization

SSV Texas provides refinishing and appearance services ranging from
individual components to complete exterior transformations.

Available services may include:

  • Complete color changes
  • Custom paint schemes
  • Racing stripes and painted graphics
  • Custom liveries
  • Roof and accent-color treatments
  • Painted aero and body components
  • Carbon-fiber clear refinishing when appropriate
  • Grille, vent and trim refinishing
  • Interior accent refinishing

SSV Texas maintains a full in-house AkzoNobel mixing bank. We also
spray BASF and PPG systems when required by the project,
manufacturer specification or existing finish.

One Coordinated Project

wheels, aero and finish work together as one vehicle.

SSV Texas can coordinate:

  • Performance and calibration
  • Exhaust and intake systems
  • Cooling and supporting components
  • Suspension and ride height
  • Wheels and tires
  • Brake upgrades

Customer-Supplied Parts

Customer-supplied C8 parts are accepted following application,
condition and fitment review.

SSV Texas does not warranty customer-supplied parts,
manufacturing defects, incorrect fitment, missing hardware or
failures caused by those components.

Booking and Deposits

Most projects require a 50% deposit to reserve
installation time and order components.

Payment schedules for larger or multi-stage C8 builds are
determined by project scope.

access or unlocking, tuning hardware, credits, licensing,
diagnostics and mechanical repairs are additional.

Can every C8 Corvette be tuned?

No. Support depends on the model, model year, control modules,
existing modifications and available tuning platform. Some
vehicles require additional controller access or unlocking.
Support must be verified using the VIN and vehicle configuration.

Can you install a C8 exhaust system?

Yes. We install supported cat-back, axle-back and valved exhaust
systems. The exact model, factory exhaust configuration, valve
compatibility and emissions requirements must be verified.

Can you lower a C8 with the factory lift system?

Some suspension products support specific factory configurations,
but compatibility must be verified before components are selected.
Factory lift systems, adaptive suspension, aero clearance and
alignment requirements are considered during planning.

Do you install customer-supplied C8 parts?

Yes, following application, condition and fitment review.
Customer-supplied parts are not warrantied by SSV Texas.
Additional labor may apply to incomplete, damaged or
poor-fitting components.

Can you paint and install carbon-fiber parts?
