S550 MUSTANG / COMPLETE COLOR CHANGE
Speedlab Yellow S550 Mustang
This S550 Mustang arrived in red as a fully disassembled project with its engine, drivetrain and interior already removed. Our scope was to complete a full color change to Speedlab Yellow across the body and its Saleen Black Label exterior components.
01 / STARTING POINT
A Disassembled Mustang Ready for Paint.
The customer delivered the Mustang as a stripped body with the major mechanical and interior systems removed. It also arrived with a Saleen Black Label body package supplied in white, allowing the factory red body and new exterior components to be refinished together.
02 / BODY COMPONENTS
Preparing the Complete Exterior Package.
The paint scope included the Mustang body along with the Saleen front fascia, hood, fender vents, Speedster tonneau and rear fascia. Each component was prepared as part of the complete exterior package to produce a consistent finish across both the original body and added Saleen parts.
03 / COLOR CHANGE
From Red to Speedlab Yellow.
The original red finish was replaced with Speedlab Yellow across the complete body and exterior component package. Painting the vehicle in its disassembled state allowed the new color to be carried throughout the project before final assembly.
04 / PROJECT HANDOFF
Finished for Final Fit and Assembly.
Once the paintwork was completed, the body and Saleen components were returned to the customer for final fit, mechanical installation, interior installation and vehicle assembly.
